Project Manager / Estimator

We are in search of a Project Manager/Estimator to join our team! The ideal candidate must have solid experience in the Sheet Metal and Structural Fabrication and Welding trades.

This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of various projects and is responsible for ensuring that the projects are completed timely, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Initial plan/blueprint reading, takeoffs, pricing/estimating, job costing, and billing review.

• Conduct field measurements to confirm dimensions, drawings, material takeoff and install requirements.

• Manage all specified submittals and samples.

• Document and communicate significant events and change orders.

• Manage the design, layout, fabrication, finishing, shipping and installation of custom fabricated projects.

• Manage the coordination of daily construction activity.

• Ensure compliance with all design and material specifications.

• Project Close out Package (if needed).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8-10 years’ experience preferred

• Experience estimating in Shop and Field Services

• Good work ethic, self-motivated

• Ability to handle multiple priorities against multiple deadlines

• Work with others in a firm but collaborative manner

• Proficient use of time and scheduling

• Detail-oriented

• Proficient PC skills

• Knowledge in methods and processes to fabricate custom carbon steel, aluminum and stainless-steel sheet metal and structural fabricated items

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Advanced knowledge of Auto CAD a plus

• Knowledge of CNC programming a plus

• Knowledge in all welding processes

• Knowledge of Industrial Piping / Process Systems a plus
